INTRODUCTION

John 10:33
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

What makes this Felony Forgery against Jesus Christ different than the rest is that it isn't due to a corruption of an ancient biblical manuscript.

By this I mean the forger didn't add or delete words from the bible in order to prove his theology.

It was the corruption of a single letter in the bible!

And that makes all the difference in the world because it means that Jesus Christ is either God, the creator of the universe, or a man who is God's son.

This trinitarian Felony Forgery violates the orthographic rules of capitalization!

Look at the rules of capitalization from Towson university, writing support program, Baltimore, Maryland area.

Rules of capitalization: Towson University,

Like you, I never even heard of orthography before this research project, so don't feel bad!

Definition of Orthography
Orthography
noun, plural orthographies for 3–5.
1. the art of writing words with the proper letters, according to accepted usage; correct spelling.
2. the part of language study concerned with letters and spelling.
3. a method of spelling, as by the use of an alphabet or other system of symbols; spelling.
4. a system of such symbols: Missionaries provided the first orthography for the language.
5. an orthographic projection, or an elevation drawn by means of it.

1425-75; late Middle English ortografye < Latin orthographia correct writing, orthogonal projection < Greek orthographía. See ortho-, -graphy Dictionary.com Unabridged

So it should come as no surprise that this trinitarian Felony Forgery violates something: logic, other bible verses, math, etc!

Wikipedia - Orthography - Capitalization
"Names by which gods are known are capitalized, including God, Allah, and Vishnu.

The word god is generally not capitalized if it is used to refer to the generic idea of a deity, nor is it capitalized when it refers to multiple gods, e.g. Roman gods.

There may be some confusion because Judaism, Christianity, and Islam rarely refer to deity by a specific name, but simply as God (see Writing divine names). Other names for the God of these three Abrahamic faiths, such as Elohim, Yahweh, and Lord, are also capitalized."

So Wikipedia is in agreement on the rules of capitalization with Towson University.

It is interesting to note that all the ancient uncial manuscripts capitalized every letter of every word, which were all run together, like an infinitely long sentence.

Let's first look at the Greek lexicon to clarify the definition of God.

Definition of God

So, this word God can be capitalized or translated in lower case letters, depending on the usage and context in the bible.

Definition b, according to its biblical usage and the Hebrew culture, fits this verse and the context perfectly.

Definition #4 of Thayer's Greek Lexicon clarifies and establishes the usage and meaning of the Greek word theos ["god"] in John 10:33.

Definition #4 of God

In every case, it is the same Greek word – Strong's # 2316 [theos], so it can be translated “God”, with a capital G, or “a god”, with a lower case g, depending on the usage and context.

The words “God” or “gods” are correctly capitalized in 4 out of the 5 times they are used in this chapter.

The only time it was deliberately and wrongly capitalized is in John 10:33 in order to promote a false theology called the trinity.

In John 10:35 it says, “unto whom the word of God came,...”. Here, the word theos is properly translated God, with a capital G because God, the creator of the universe, is the author of his word.

In John 10:36, it says, “because I said, I am the son of God?”. Here, the word theos is again properly translated God, with a capital G because God, the creator of the universe, is Jesus Christ's heavenly father.

John 10:34
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

This word “gods” is Strong’s #2316 again, properly translated with a lower case g because it is referring to humans, people, in a leadership position.

This is Jesus Christ's answer to the Judeans – he quoted the old testament – psalms to be exact.

Psalms 82:6
I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

Definition of "gods" in a Hebrew lexicon of Psalms 82:6

Usage and definition of god in the old testament: a ruler or divine representative.

3 different concordances are all in agreement of the definition and usage of the word god in John 10:33:

* Brown-Driver-Briggs

* Strong's concordance

* Thayer's Greek lexicon.

John 10:33 must be interpreted in its context.

John 10:34 clarifies who "god" is: a ruler or judge of God's people, and not God the creator.

Just a few chapters before, Jesus had this to say regarding his position as judge:

John 5
22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
23 That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

In John 10:35, it says, “If he called them gods,”... This is properly translated “gods” with a lower case g because its referring to people, judges, who are in a leadership position to rule the Israelites.

Even Moses, the man of God who led the Israelites out of Egypt, was called a god, yet nobody literally believes he is God the creator.

Exodus 7
1 And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
2 Thou shalt speak all that I command thee...

Moses was called “a god”, with a lower case “g”. So we can see at once the inconsistency of the translators: in verses 34 and 35, the Greek word theos is translated “gods” and is used in reference to men, who are judges. This word is correctly translated with a lower case g twice, but in verse 33, where it is used in the exact same sense, it is translated “God”, the creator, with a capital G. That is the point where the deliberate forgery comes in.

So how can Jesus Christ be God the creator in verse 33, but become the son of God in verse 36? That is a blatant contradiction.

Son of God means son of God.

God means God.

The bible means what it says and says what it means. Remember, all verses on the same subject must be in agreement with each other.

In the book of Hebrews, Jesus Christ is called God again.

Hebrews 1:8
But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

This is the exact same principle in John 10:34 and psalms 82:6 - Hebrews 1:8 is a quotation of psalms.

Unfortunately, the word God in Hebrews 1:8 is wrongly capitalized also, so this is yet another trinitarian Felony Forgery. By wrongly and deliberately capitalizing the word "God", it makes Jesus Christ, a man and God's only son, God the creator, which is idolatry.

Psalms 45:6
Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.

This refers back to Strong's #430 again, as we saw earlier, where the gods are rulers or judges, as Jesus Christ is.

Jesus Christ, the son of God

John 10
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Jesus Christ called himself the son of God, so who are we to contradict him?

If we say Jesus Christ is God the creator, then we are calling Jesus Christ a liar when he called himself the son of God. If he was God, he would have said so.

Jesus Christ is directly referred to as God's son 68 times in the bible, yet he is called “God” only 4 times. That's a ratio of 17 to 1.

The phrase “God the son” never occurs in scripture. If you examine the 4 times he is called “God”, one is a known, proven, deliberate forgery and the other 3 are misunderstandings of scripture, so there are no contradictions in God's true and eternal word. Jesus Christ is always the son of God.

The entire purpose of the book of John is clearly stated in the 20th chapter.

John 20:31
But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

By definition, the only time a man can become God is in the category of mythology, which is idolatry.

Furthermore, there are many many unsolvable problems if Jesus is God. Let's look back at John 5:30 where he said, “I can of mine own self do nothing”.

If Jesus is God, then how can He [God], who designed and created the entire universe out of nothing, claim he can't do anything of himself?!?!

When God created the universe, there was no other entity in the entire universe besides him. So if Jesus is God and he can't do anything of himself, then who created the universe?! There are only 2 logical conclusions: either he is a liar or Jesus Christ, who is a man and the son of God, is telling the truth.

Here is a challenge for you: when you are reading the bible, every time you see the word “jesus”, just replace it with the word “God”. If all those scriptures still make sense to you, then you have a serious psychological and spiritual problem.

How about these scriptures?

John 1:18
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

I John 4:12
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Genesis 41:32
And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.

No person has ever seen God. The bible says that twice, which establishes it.

Here's another verse that becomes impossibly ridiculous if Jesus is God.

John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

If Jesus Christ is God, verse 12 says that we shall do his works also. One of God's works was to design and create the entire universe out of nothing.

[After many years of analysis of the universe with the Hubble space telescope, scientists have now estimated that there are at least 2 TRILLION GALAXIES in the universe, with each one having hundreds of billions of stars and planets].

Verse 12 also says we shall do even greater works than he did, so how are we going to do something greater than designing and creating the entire universe out of nothing?!?!

No wonder so many people are turned off by the christian religion. The trinity makes christianity the laughing stock of the world. It destroys our integrity and credibility and hinders evangelism.

In reference back to John 10, the Judeans would have been right to stone Jesus Christ to death had he been guilty of blasphemy, according to old testament law.

Leviticus 24:16
And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the Lord, shall be put to death.

But he obviously didn't commit blasphemy, so therefore, he was the son of God, and not God or God the son.

How do 40 randomly-selected bible versions render John 10:33?

The problem with John 10:33 is that the word “God”, referring to Jesus, is capitalized in at least 40 randomly-chosen bible versions, making him God the creator. This contradicts Jesus' own explanation in John 10:36 who plainly said he was the son of God.

I have checked www.biblegateway.com and looked up no less than 40 different bible versions, and all 40 [100%!], capitalized the word "God" in John 10:33, demonstrating the dominating influence of the trinity throughout the Christian publishing world.

The correct translation of John 10:33 would be the following:

John 10:33
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself a god [a judge or ruler of God's people, the Israelites].

SUMMARY

  1. The trinitarian Felony Forgery of John 10:33 violates the orthographic rules of capitalization.

  2. Orthography is the art of writing words with the proper letters, according to accepted usage & correct spelling.

  3. All the uncial manuscripts are written so that all letters are capitalized

  4. The Greek word theos [god], has two meanings: God the creator, or a god, referring to a judge of God's people.

  5. Theos is used 5 times in John 10. In 4 out of the 5 times, its capitalized correctly. The one time it was deliberately capitalized wrongly in order to promote the trinity. Three times its in reference to judges of God's people. In two of those three times, its translated “a god”, yet when its referring to Jesus, the translators capitalized the letter G, making Jesus God the creator instead of a man, who was a judge of God's people [the Israelites].

  6. In Exodus 7, Moses is called a god [judge] to Israel with a lower case “g”, yet nobody believes he is God the creator.

  7. Jesus Christ called himself the son of God and not God, so who are we to contradict him?

  8. 2 verses of scripture [John 1:18 & I John 4:18] say that no man has ever seen God at any time, therefore, Jesus Christ cannot be God.

  9. The entire purpose of the book of John is “that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”

  10. Jesus Christ is directly referred to as God's son 68 times in the bible, yet he is called “God” only 4 times, which is a ratio of 17 to 1. In the 4 times he is called “God”, 1 is a known, proven, trinitarian Felony Forgery and the other 3 are misunderstandings of scripture.

  11. All 40 randomly selected bible versions capitalized the letter G in the word “God”, demonstrating the iron grip the trinity has on the entire Christian publishing world.

  12. The final conclusion is that John 10:33 is a known, proven trinitarian Felony Forgery in yet another failed attempt to prove that Jesus Christ is God the creator.
