Joshua 1<\/strong>
5<\/strong> There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6<\/strong> Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acts 28<\/strong>
30<\/strong> And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
31<\/strong> Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main point of comparison is here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joshua 1:5<\/strong> – There shall not any man be able to stand before thee<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Acts 28:31<\/strong> – with all confidence, no man forbidding him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As both men of God stood upon the word of God that they knew, they were able to successfully repel any attacks against them with the power of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the Apostle Paul had been given a great deal more knowledge and enlightenment, [among other things], but they were both still able to defeat evil men that tried to deter them from their heavenly calling by simply believing what God had told them and not compromising on the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we withstand the evil in our day with the light of the Lord, we can be successful too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romans 8<\/strong>
37<\/strong> Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38<\/strong> For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
